Why the response for Paris and the relative silence for others?

This has been bothering me all weekend, and I really can’t wrap my head around it. So, I’m going to ask the question.
- A few days ago, ISIS claimed responsibility for a suicide bombing that killed at least 43 people in Beirut, Lebanon. 200 others were wounded.
- Last month, a Russian passenger jet blew up over Egypt killing all 224 people on board. ISIS said it was responsible.
- In September, 25 people were killed when bombs went off near a mosque during the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha in Yemen. ISIS claimed responsibility as well.
And the list unfortunately goes on, and just in the past 12 months…
So, I ask: why are we so angered, moved, driven to respond on social media and elsewhere to the horrible events in Paris, yet so silent when the same group of disgusting individuals attack the liberties and lives of others in places less known to us?
